Ski touring: off-piste winter sports in the Lake Fuschl region
You enjoy the tranquillity and the spectacular view to Salzkammergut on snow-covered slopes during ski tours in the Lake Fuschl region. Ski tour variations of various levels of difficulty can be found in particular at the Osterhorn, in Faistenau and Hintersee. The educational touring trail in Faistenau addresses ski touring beginners as well as pros who wish to check or improve their knowledge in avalanche awareness and safety in the snow. The trail leads across 650 altitude metres in around three hours uphill to the Loibersbacherhöhe.
You can in general tour the educational trail alone but guided tours are also offered. These tours are arranged for groups by the tourist association upon prior notice.

Regenspitz (1.675 m)
The lower part of the tour leads along the summer path through the forest. From the Feichtensteinalm you can enjoy the great panorama. Especially on the north-facing summit ridge you can see the entire mountain world of the region. With the descent to the west, this tour is a wonderful round.

Loibersbacher Höhe (1.456 m)
Beginners and advanced skiers will get their money's worth along the ski touring training trail. In addition to enjoying the wonderful landscape, there are signs along the route with a lot of interesting facts about snow and avalanche knowledge.
