The cross-country ski tracks run from the flat north to the hilly, mountainous landscape in the south of Chiemgau where pros often have their training base camp. The around 40 kilometres long cross-country ski track to the Chiemgau Team Trophy, which connects the three destinations Inzell, Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl, is perfect for experienced cross-country skiers. The intermediate Tobias Angerer Cross-Country Ski Track offers an especially beautiful panorama. The unique winter landscape in the heart of the Chiemgau mountains can also be explored on cross-country skis in Schleching and the rest of the Achental Valley. Absolute highlight of the region is the cross-country ski track in the 3-Lake District. The frozen lakes and the pristine landscape remind of Canada; hence the district is called Little Canada.
